We nurture discovery
Time for Twos
This transitional class for two-year-olds who are ready to take the first steps toward preschool offers fun, age-appropriate learning experiences in which every child is valued. Two-year-olds explore a variety of music, movement, and simple art activities using sensory media, special story times and finger plays. Weekly sessions, led by an early education professional, are designed to enhance physical development, creativity, and socialization within the security of trusted adult-child interactions. It’s a perfect way to prepare toddlers for a more formal preschool setting in the future. Children will participate in circle time (stories, finger-plays and imaginative movement), art activities and group play. A light, nut-free snack will be provided.
Dates: Tuesdays, early September-early May
Class size: maximum 10 children
FALL – Marvelous Me! (8 sessions)
8:45-9:45 AM, Weeks 1-4 with parents
8:45-10:45 AM, Weeks 5-8 without parents (“All By Myself”)
The focus is on self-control through music and movement. We practice moving fast and slow, up and down and learn to stop and go, all while developing your toddler’s rhythm, coordination and language skills. Throughout the program, your child will be learning that he or she is a marvelous creation of God.
WINTER – Imagine That! (9 sessions)
8:45-10:45 AM, All By Myself
We will take pretend adventures to a new level! By acting out stories with our friends, your toddler will have lots of practice taking turns and interacting socially. In addition to our music and story time, we will also introduce your child to simple art activities.
SPRING – On the Go! (9 sessions)
8:45-10:45 AM, All By Myself!
We’ll enjoy using our growing imaginations and bodies through various activities as we play and learn through art, music, cooking, and stories. We’ll do it all, because the next stop is preschool in the fall!
