Financial Assistance Programs

Christian Heritage Academy provides a variety of financial assistance opportunities to assist families in providing a Christ-centered education for their

Financial Assistance

Need-Based Financial Aid and the Financial Aid Process
Full-time students in grades 1-12 who have demonstrated financial need may receive up to 40% off tuition. Full-day Kindergarten students may receive up to 30% off tuition. Once an application and application fee are received, new families may apply for need-based financial aid. Current families are strongly encouraged to apply by January 31. Learning Assistance Fund
Special assistance for up to 50% of Learning/Study Center fees is available for families qualified for need-based financial aid.

Tuition Discounts

Referral Program
Current CHA families refer a new family to CHA may be eligible to receive a tuition credit. To qualify, parents applying to CHA for their child(ren) must name the referring family or families on the Referral Form at the time of application.

How the Referral Program works

Pastor Discount
Full-time pastors employed at a local church may receive an additional 25% discount of the tuition balance due after qualifying for a need-based
financial aid award. If the pastor is not receiving financial aid, the pastor may receive a 25% discount of their total eligible tuition.

Upper School Commitment Discount
Families with students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to prayerfully consider the CHA Upper School for their child. The earlier the commitment form is
completed, the larger the discount. Students who sign in Grade 6 will receive a savings of $2,000 per year/4 years; students who sign in Grade 7 –
$1,500 per year/4 years, and students who sign in Grade 8 – $1,000 per year/4 years.

Multiple-Child Discount
Our hope is that all children in a family attend school together. Multiple children from the same family enrolled as full-time Kindergarten-Grade 12
students receive a tuition discount (2nd child: 5% discount; 3rd child: 20% discount; 4th child and up: 30% discount). Discounts apply to the younger
child(ren)’s tuition.

First and Second Grade Tuition Credit Program
A $500 tuition credit is awarded for each year a student attends CHA preschool or kindergarten (maximum $2,000) for incoming first grade students.
Credit is applied evenly toward their first and second grade tuition.

Upper School Tuition Credit Program
A $250 tuition credit is awarded for each consecutive year a student attends grades K-8 at CHA prior to grade 9 (maximum of $2,000 per year.) Tuition
credit is applied every year while student is enrolled in grades 9-12.

Learning Assistance Fund
Special assistance for up to 50% of Learning/Study Center fees is available for families qualified for need-based financial aid.

Non-CHA Sponsored Assistance

Illinois “Invest in Kids” Tax Credit Scholarship (K-12)
CHA participates in the Invest in Kids scholarship program which allows students from families with incomes up to 300% of the federal poverty level to apply for awards valued as much as 100% of tuition. To learn more, contact the Admissions Office. In addition, any family with a state tax liability can contribute to this fund and gain a tax advantage. Special Assistance
Additional, need-based, assistance may be available from the Special Assistance fund. This fund is donor supported and availability of awards is limited. Please contact the Admissions Office for inquiries.
