There was here was no shortage of fun at the Fall Harvest Fair on Saturday, October 25! (See pictures below, and even more photos here.) Though the final game of the National Baseball League Championship Series was scheduled that evening, it didn’t deter more than 200 guests from attending this fantastic, family-friendly fundraising event with proceeds going to support the mission of Christian Heritage Academy.
Decorations and ambiance carried a country theme and the evening lived up to its name, ‘Raise’ a Ruckus! as adults and children joined in a variety of games and activities.
Couples swung their partners in the gym with a professional square dance caller, and guests could purchase tickets for the petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, a balloon artist, a game arcade, kids craft station and more. Some folks even serenaded the crowd from the Karaoke stage. Dinner was a country-style barbecue buffet, with ribs and chicken and all the “fixin’s.” There were also plenty of desserts, cotton candy and popcorn to enjoy.
A country store offered a delicious baked goods for sale along with colorful pumpkins (both plain and creatively hand painted by our students). In the midst of the fun, Cubs fans rejoiced together at the historic moment when the Chicago Cubs won the National League Championship.
