Congratulations, Joash Pfeiffelman, on earning Silver Medal!

On April 18, fourteen CHA Upper School students traveled to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana to participate in the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) state competition. They had advanced to the state-level competition after the March 6 sectional, in which they placed first out of 3 Division 300 schools, with a record nine medals. At the April 18th state competition, hundreds of students from Division 300 schools in Illinois took two forty-minute college-level tests in various subjects. It was very competitive and difficult to place.

We are pleased to report that by God’s grace, our students competed very well, earning 7th place overall as a team out of 23 Division 3 schools who competed at the state level. In addition, CHA  senior, Joash Pfeiffelman, earned a Silver medal for Engineering Graphics!  (In sectionals, Joash had earned 2nd place in Engineering Graphics.)

We are proud of the entire team’s accomplishments and efforts towards excellence. Congratulations to the entire team! Congratulations, Joash!
