Coinucopia 2018 Raises $100,000!
WE DID IT, CHA!
We are pleased to announce that we have reached our STRETCH GOAL of $100,000 toward our Water & Wellness Drive!
After a month of coin-collecting, donating and matching, on Friday, November 30, we had announced that we were just over $81,200 and that another donor had offered to match dollar-for-dollar the remaining $18,800 needed to reach our Stretch Goal of $100,000. That afternoon, we received additional donations which, with the accompanying match, brought us to an official total of: $100,009.19!
This means that we will see Dr. Hertzberg, President, and Ms. Okamoto, Principal, color their hair the color of students’ choice! Stay tuned for more details on hair colors and individual grade celebrations. All grades have earned Ice Cream Parties and many classes will enjoy additional celebrations. Congratulations to Grade 7 who took the lead by raising $15,775.78!
As a result of your generosity, we will see the following Water & Wellness Improvements:
- Water Main Replacement
- Washroom Improvements
- Water Bottle Filling Station / Water Fountain
- Wellness / Athletic Equipment
Congratulations to all, and Praise God for the outpouring of generosity shown through our CHA community. “God loves a cheerful* giver,” (2 Corinthians 9:7) and He is rejoicing with us. A BIG THANK YOU to students, parents, grandparents, special friends, teachers/staff and all who supported Coinucopia 2018!
*The word “cheerful” in 2 Corinthians 9:7 means “hilarious”. To see some “hilarious” giving in action, enjoy the video below of Mr. Dinkelman, VP of Finance and Operations, and Mr. de las Alas, Chairman of the Board, taking the promised Polar Plunge into Lake Michigan last week, for surpassing the first All-School Goal of $75,000.
