Christian Heritage Academy maintains a high standard of academic excellence and is academically on par with the local public school districts, some of the best in the country. Our core curriculum is comprehensive, engaging, creative, and challenging. Standardized test scores reveal that CHA students score equal or higher than those at area public school and CHA graduates are accepted into many of the top ranked colleges. What’s more, CHA is also accredited by the Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) and AdvancEd, and recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
But what makes Christian Heritage Academy truly unique is “biblical integration.” Our teachers are able to integrate the Bible into each subject area, helping students to develop a biblical worldview as well as strong skills in critical thinking, research, effective writing and speaking.
In addition to regular academic studies, co-curricular programs and extracurricular activities, our Christ-centered program also includes Bible classes, inspiring and worshipful weekly chapel services and the freedom to have regular classroom prayer times, as well spontaneous prayer as the need arises. Our teachers model Christ-likeness and encourage students toward the same in their work, personal habits and interactions with others.
We seek to nurture each child’s independence, healthy interdependence, self-confidence and self-esteem based in the knowledge that they are created in the image of God. However, we do not shelter our students. Rather, as life-long learners, they are challenged to question and to seek biblical answers so that they may make choices that reflect the values taught in the Scriptures.
