Dear CHA Families:

I am writing to highlight a few important items for your information and attention.

The nicer weather allows for our students and classes to spend more time outside. We are again grateful for the provision of a couple of tents this month for classes and some special events. By way of reminder, the Illinois Department of Public Health does not require students to wear face masks outside with appropriate social distancing. Of course, students and staff have the option to wear masks outside should you so desire. Wearing face masks inside (except at lunch) continues to be required as are all the other safety protocols. We greatly appreciate your continuing cooperation in order to finish the year strong.

National Day of Prayer
Tomorrow, May 06, marks the 70th anniversary of the National Day of Prayer. Later today, you will be receiving a CHA Central email highlighting some special opportunities for you to join in prayer for our nation and school. Additionally, please consider taking some time to pray with your family, including for much needed spiritual awakening and revival in our land.

Spring Association Meeting
Thursday, May 13, 7:00 PM, via Zoom

Please plan to join us for an important Association meeting. In addition to voting on our 2021-2022 budget and Board candidates, we will be sharing our preliminary safety and health plans for the coming school year. Watch for an email very soon with detailed information from CHA Board Chairman, Gil de las Alas, regarding the Spring Association meeting including registration information.

Annual Spring Benefit
Saturday, May 15, 5:30 PM

We are looking forward to our annual Spring Benefit and hope you are able to join us. It promises to be a special evening celebrated “Ravinia” style. Thus far, over 200 people from our CHA family have registered. The theme for this year’s Benefit is a fitting one: “Bringing HOPE to the World.” More information and a link to register can be found at CHA Central. We look forward to seeing you there.

Together, we thank God for making this remarkable year possible at CHA. Your continuing support and partnership are greatly appreciated. Please continue to pray for our school so that we may finish this year well to the glory of God.

Rejoicing in our Lord,

Dr. Hutz H. Hertzberg
