Announcing New… Family Enrichment Series
CHA was founded on the vision that if students are to become lifelong learners and followers of Jesus Christ, a necessary partnership between families, church and school was absolutely essential.
We are very grateful that over the years so many parents and pastors have realized that founding vision by coming alongside CHA teachers and staff, multiplying the impact of a Christ-centered education in the lives of students.
Today, the need for parental involvement, prayer and support for the advance of our school is as great as ever. It is encouraging to me that almost every day I see firsthand parents who are committed to that partnership, including parents serving on the CHA Board, helping with our theatrical productions, serving as volunteer coaches, helping in the classroom – or today for example, third and fourth grade moms providing a delicious and much appreciated lunch to all CHA employees.
In the same way, we desire for CHA to be a place of resourcing of parents and families. Just one of the ways we plan to do that going forward is by the launching of our new Family Enrichment Series. Approximately twice per semester we will provide events presenting current issues facing families today. Our first event in this new series is the excellent documentary movie SCREENAGERS exploring the multiple challenges that confront families in this digital age. (See next section for more details.)
We hope that you will not only attend this inaugural event, but you will invite your neighbors and/or friends. Any parent will benefit in gaining a greater understanding of the significant technological challenges facing our students today along with resources for help. I look forward to seeing you on February 15th.
