In CHA Community, Parent Central

To the CHA Association,

Prayer has always been a central focus for our school. The Board is asking every member of the Association – parents, teachers, staff and students – to pray for CHA every day this coming week.

We hope that through prayer we will see breakthroughs in the lives of our students and their families, and revival in our school. Below is a guide to help you get started with your individual and family prayer time each day.

The Board appreciates all your prayers and we look forward to what the Lord has planned for our school.

Gil de las Alas
Board Chairman

P.S. Please join us for one of these two regularly scheduled prayer gatherings this week:

Parents’ Prayer – Monday, April 16, 8:30-9:15 AM, in the Chapel

Dads’ Prayer – Friday, April 20, 6:45-7:15 AM, in the Office Lobby

As you pray reflect on our school verse for the year is Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Listed below are prayer requests to help you get started with your prayer time each day. You can focus on one set of needs each day of the week. We encourage you to pray individually and as a family. Enter your time of prayer with a heart of gratitude. As a community of faith we are looking to Jesus for help and we look expectantly to what He will do at CHA.

Pray for Revival at CHA
Pray we would understand and know Christ’s love in a deeper, more intimate way. Ephesians 3:17-19

Pray our relationships with one another would be rooted in grace and love. Ephesians 4:2-6, 32
Pray that any damaged relationships would be repaired. As Hebrews states, let us lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely. Pray that true confession and personal accountability would be demonstrated. And that grace, forgiveness and humility would be traits we approach others with Colossians 3:13

Pray that anyone who is distant from God would turn back to Him in faith. Joel 2:12-13

CHA’s mission is to provide an exemplary education based on biblical values to children of Christian families, equipping them to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ. Pray that the Lord would help us to be united, as one community, so that CHA may honor Him in all that we do. Colossians 3:12-17

Pray for the needs of your student(s) and family (Proverbs 22:6)
Pray that the Lord will fill your child with spiritual wisdom and understanding so that he/she will walk in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Pray that as we enter a period of standardized testing (Terra Nova, AP, etc) that the Lord will help prepare your child so that he/she may be sharp and ready.

Pray that the Lord will shine light upon your family. May the Lord give your family strength and a spirit of unity to overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow. And may the love that binds you only grow stronger as you desire to honor the Lord in your home.

Pray for Teachers (Romans 8:28)
We are so thankful for our teachers. As we enter into the final stretch of the 2017-2018 school year please pray that they would continue to have the strength, patience and endurance to finish strong.

Pray that each of them would see the fruit of their service and sacrifice in the classroom.

Pray for any needs they have in their life (health, family, relationships, etc), that the Lord would protect them and bless them richly.

Pray for Administration and Staff (Philippians 4:6-7)
We are so thankful for Administration and Staff who work tirelessly to ensure the school runs well and we are able to provide for an excellent experience in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities. Please pray they would have the strength, patience and endurance to finish strong.

Pray that as they prayerfully make decisions to improve the operations of the school, they would have the wisdom and discernment to know what needs to be done and have Association support.

Pray for any needs they have in their life (health, family, relationships, etc), that the Lord would protect them and bless them richly.

Pray for the Board (Philippians 2:2-3)
The Board is so thankful to have the opportunity to serve the Association. We have a number of important and strategic issues to address. Please pray for the direction and guidance that can only come from our Lord. His ways are perfect and we continue to humbly seek His favor for our school.

The Board will be recommending new Board members at the May Association meeting on May 29. Please pray for those who have been approached and are considering the opportunity. May the Lord confirm for them where they may best serve our school.

Pray for the Spring Benefit on Sat. April 21 (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19
Pray for the 300+ who will be attending; that their hearts and minds will be open to what will be shared.

Pray for all those who will be speaking, including Norm Sonju and members of our community. Pray that they will be able deliver their messages with clarity and conviction.

We are thankful for the Planning Committee and numerous volunteers. Pray that the program will be executed flawlessly and all who attend have a great time.

Pray that we would exceed our fundraising goals. The Lord has always provided for our school and we are trusting Him. Pray for generous donors and an outpouring of support.

Pray for Enrollment and Re-Enrollment (Jeremiah 29:11)
Pray that all who desire to be here can come, and that CHA would grow as a light in north Chicagoland.  Pray that the Lord would remove any barriers for those whom He has called to be part of this school, to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders.
