Some of our CHA families have asked about this film or have seen it and its impactful message. We recognize how the digital age is impacting life, learning, and human interaction and this film is a stepping stone to a better understanding of how to be proactive at home in the digital world we live in. This film event kicks-off CHA’s new Family Enrichment Series, which will focus on strengthening families and the school-home partnership.
In this 67 minute film, physician and filmmaker, Delaney Ruston, takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and Internet addiction. Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from the authors, psychologists and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
We trust you will find the content of this film insightful and equipping as you address the digital reality in your home.
Parents are invited and encouraged to come and bring their children ages 12 and older. While it has been suggested that the film is appropriate for children 12 and older, this is just a general guideline and parents may bring their children at their own discretion.
