Send in your Sneakers for a Good Cause!
The CHA Upper School’s Sneaker Drive is underway, now through January 20! Not only will this help families clean out their closets, but this initiative will support the Upper School Spring Formal.
GotSneakers, a social enterprise, has developed a unique fundraising program that asks communities to reach into their closets, not their pockets. The sneaker recycling program helps keeps sneakers out of landfills, which has harmful effects on our environment, and helps organizations like CHA raise activity funds.
GotSneakers will compensate CHA between $0.25—$7.00 a pair for the collected sneakers, depending on the level of wear. Anyone—family, friends, neighbors—can help by simply donating gently worn, used, and new sneakers, because everyone has used sneakers sitting around that they no longer wear!
So start collecting those used sneakers from your closets, mudrooms, and garages and drop them in the bins located in the front office or by the N-1 and S-1 doors. Thank you!
