“Soli Deo Gloria” Chapel Honors Upper School Students’ Achievements
“Soli Deo Gloria” means “to God alone be the glory.” Christian Heritage Academy’s “Soli Deo Gloria” Chapel is the culmination of many years of work for many of our students. On May 17, during the annual “Soli Deo Gloria” Honors Chapel, Upper School students sought to glorify God as they were honored with awards for their achievements throughout their high school years. Mr. Davis opened with words of commendation to all the students and an opening prayer giving God thanks for all He has done in and through our students. After prayer, senior Rachel Kim sang “Without Love, We Have Nothing”, a stirring musical reminder (from 1 Corinthians 13) of our theme of the year — “Loving God, Loving Others”.
Congratulations to all our students for their efforts and achievements over the years, and to those who were recognized at this special service.
Soli Deo Gloria Award
Our most distinguished award is the Soli Deo Gloria Award – all honor and glory to God alone – which was awarded to Rachel Kim. The Soli Deo Gloria Award is given to the Upper School graduate who demonstrates character that seeks to glorify God alone in all aspects of life through servant leadership, spiritual growth, and a transformed heart for the Kingdom of God.
