Mrs. Severson’s desire to be a lifelong learner began in her early years. As an ever-zealous kindergartener, she entered her first day of school with eagerness, yet exited with tears. When her mother asked what had happened, Kathy answered, “I didn’t learn to read!” She eventually did learn to read and continues to be fascinated and excited by how children learn, develop, and grow, both academically and spiritually. Her desire is to help students understand how God made them and how they can use this knowledge to glorify Him.
Kathy served as lead preschool teacher at Christian Heritage Academy from 2002-2010, and is currently the Director of Early Education. She and her husband Dave have raised 2 CHA alumni, and attend The Orchard Church.
