In CHA Community, Middle School, Upper School

Worshiping, Learning and Team-building!

On Friday, August 25, Upper School students and a number of staff members boarded busses bound for an action packed two-day retreat at Lake Geneva Conference Center in Wisconsin. This annual upper school event, scheduled during the first weekend of each school year, provides students with a wonderful time of connection, bonding and spiritual reflection as the new school year begins.

Pastor Farish, along with some of our senior students, led teaching times and worship throughout the weekend, with an up close look at Hebrews 12:1-2, this year’s CHA theme verse. The seniors were mentored as retreat leaders by our CHA Living Curriculum Teachers, and they stepped up to the leadership opportunity, drawing hearts toward the Lord and sharing God’s Word. Thank you seniors!

Students were also able to get to know each other better as they participated in small groups and team building activities, as well as during their free time through optional games, paintball, volleyball and basketball  (see pictures below).

God is good and working at CHA in the hearts of the students. What a great way to kick off the new school year!
