What is Coinucopia?
CHA’s annual Coinucopia is an all school fund drive to raise money for needed projects at our school, as well as the Annual Fund. It’s a time for us to count our blessings and work together towards a common goal. Our 2023 campaign runs from Wednesday, November 1, and runs through Sunday, December 31, 2023.
What is this year’s goal, and how will the funds be used?
This year, our Coinucopia goal is $400,000 – nearly half of our overall Annual Fund goal of $830,000 to “Unlock the Future at CHA”. Coinucopia funds will be used to replace student lockers, which are original to the building, not fully functional, and are too narrow for student needs. The rest of the funds will be used to support the critical work that goes into providing a rigorous and well-rounded Christian education for our students. From our growing sports, performing arts programs, and co-curricular programs, to initiatives like mentoring and GO! Week that enhances the spiritual formation and practice of our students, our Annual Fund plays an important role. We continue to raise the bar on established academic programs and bring faculty compensation to a competitive level to strengthen the future at CHA for current students and those to come.
How does it work?
Students are encouraged to bring in any and all coins they can, as well as cash and checks. Donations are put into a can in each classroom and collected daily as a competition between grades to who can raise the most money. Both class and campaign progress will be tracked online and on display in the Academic Building, with totals updated weekly. The kids, especially the younger ones, delight in seeing how their class is doing and how close we are to the next prize level!
Who else can contribute?
Our goal is 100% participation among the CHA family. Parents, grandparents, alumni, Heritage families, and friends…ANYONE! This is a great opportunity for your child to tell others about their experience at CHA and how this school year in particular is going.
You can donate by sending in coins, cash, or checks with a student; by giving online; or sending a check to Christian Heritage Academy, 315 Waukegan Rd. Northfield, IL 60093. If you wish for your donation to be divided up between several CHA students in your family, please write their name and grade in the check memo line.
Help us unlock all 9 GOLDEN LOCKERS, including:
- Each grade level sponsors 10 lockers at $5,000 each
- 150 Grandparents donate
- 50 Heritage Families (alumni and friends) give
- Total donations reach $400,000
Thank you for your generous giving, enabling us to unlock the future and all God has for CHA!
