It’s  Lunchtime!

Lunchtime is a great time for students to interact with each other as they enjoy either a lunch brought from home or a prepackaged hot lunch from KIDDOS. Milk (white or chocolate) is also available to order on a yearly basis. Students may choose from these lunch options:


Order Milk

Students (PreK-Grade 12) may order chocolate or white milk for the entire school year. Your milk order will be billed to your student’s tuition invoice. Schedule and pricing is detailed on the registration form you can access through the button below.

All prices are for the entire school year on days when school is in session.
Note: Milk is not served on half days of school.

Two Days each Week (PK 2-day program)

  • 1 milk (white or chocolate $28.
  • 2 milks (white, chocolate, or combo): $56

Three Days each Week (PK 3-day program)

  • 1 milk (white or chocolate $42.
  • 2 milks (white, chocolate, or combo): $84

Five Days each Week (PK & K, M-F / Grades 1-12  program)

  • 1 milk (white or chocolate $70.
  • 2 milks (white, chocolate, or combo): $140

Bring Your Own Lunch

Many students bring their own lunch to school. Keep in mind that CHA is a “Nut-Aware” school and follow the Nut-Aware Guidelines (on this page in our Parent-Student Handbook, bottom of page) regarding nuts and products containing nuts. Microwaves will be available for middle and upper school students, but use is not recommended. Students should use at their own discretion.

Children must bring their own napkins and utensils, as well as a labeled water bottle (which may be refilled as necessary in our water bottle-filling stations).

My Child Forgot to Bring Lunch!
Occasionally a student forgets to bring their lunch to school. If a parent must bring a student’s lunch after morning arrival, please label the lunch clearly with student’s name and grade, and drop it off at the front desk. If a child does not have a lunch, cold cereal and white milk will be offered (and a $4 fee will be added to the student’s account).


Optional Hot Lunch from KIDDOS

Students may order hot lunches through KIDDOS, an independent hot lunch management company that contracts with CHA. They work with local restaurants to offer menu options for students, PK-Gr 12. Meals are prepackaged and labeled for each student who has placed an order. Please see this informational flyer from KIDDOS.

August 23 – Kiddos opens for online orders.
September 7
– Kiddos begins delivery of Hot Lunch orders. Students will need to bring their own lunches until then.

For questions regarding the KIDDOS hot lunch program, please contact KIDDOS directly at: support@kiddoscatering.com. Please note that orders, changes or cancellations must be made before Wednesday at NOON for the NEXT week of lunches.

What restaurants does KIDDOS use to provide varied meal choices?  Kiddos updates it’s lunch provider restaurants list each year. For example, some of the restaurants that have partnered with KIDDOS include: Meatheads, Piero’s Pizza, Original Bagel & Bialy, Giordano’s, Yummy Bowl,  Rosati’s, Potbelly, Subway, Suzy’s Swirl, and Dairy Queen. Daily menus will be made available on the Kiddos website.

KIDDOS Lunch Cancellations – KIDDOS Catering and CHA are not able to cancel lunches on your behalf for any reason. If your child will need to quarantine or will be absent for any reason and you would like to cancel lunches you have ordered, you must log into your Kiddos account to cancel lunches for any dates still available to cancel. If the ordering/cancellation window has closed for the dates you wish to cancel, regardless of reason, the lunches will be delivered to school and you can make arrangements with school to pick up the lunches during the lunch period. If the lunch is not picked up by the end of the lunch period each day, the lunch will be gifted to staff or discarded.

HOT DOG DAYS
A Hot Dog lunch is offered to students and staff on one Wednesday per month during the school year, September-May. The nine Hot Dog Days for this year are listed on the CHA calendar in your Veracross portal. The meal includes choice of one or two hot dogs, plus chips and dessert. To purchase an individual hog dog lunch students must bring money to purchase it on Hot Dog Day (one hot dog: $4.00 / two hot dogs: $5.00).

Purchase a “Hot Dog Year-Pass”
Students may also purchase a “Hot Dog Year Pass” which is good in advance for the entire school year and eliminates the need to remember to bring money to school on Hot Dog Days. Please order by clicking the order form button bottom of this page.
