Bring Your Own Lunch

Many students bring their own lunch to school. Children must bring their own napkins and utensils, as well as a labeled water bottle (which may be refilled as necessary in our water bottle-filling stations).

Keep in mind that CHA is a “Nut-Aware” school and that we follow the Nut-Aware Guidelines regarding nuts and products containing nuts. Microwaves will be available for Middle and Upper School Students, but use is not recommended. Students should use at their own discretion.

What will happen if your child forgets to bring lunch?
If a parent must bring a student’s lunch after morning arrival, please label the lunch clearly with student’s name and grade, and drop it off at the front desk no later than 11:30 AM to ensure your child receives it by lunchtime. If a child does not have a lunch by 11:30 AM, cold cereal and white milk will be offered (and a $4 fee will be added to the student’s account).

Optional Hot Lunch from KIDDOS

Students may order hot lunches through KIDDOS, an independent hot lunch management company that contracts with CHA. They work with local restaurants to offer menu options for students, PK-Grade 12. Meals are prepackaged and labeled for each student who has placed an order. Please see this informational flyer from KIDDOS with the ordering instructions.

Orders, changes, or cancellations must be made by the deadline of Wednesdays at 11:59 PM for the next week’s lunches.

Dates to be aware of:

August 11 – Kiddos opens for orders.
August 30 – Ordering for the first week of lunches closes at 11:59 PM.
September 5
 – Kiddos begins delivery of hot lunch orders. Students will need to bring their own lunches until then.

Optional Milk Program

Students (PK-Grade 12) may order chocolate or white milk for the entire school year, delivered to them during their lunch period. Your milk order will be billed to your student’s tuition invoice. This is a helpful way to make sure your child consistently has a drink at lunch, should they forget their water bottle!

Please note: All prices are for the entire school year on days when school is in session. Milk is NOT served on half days of school. The pricing is as follows:

Five Days each Week (PK & K, M-F / Grades 1-12  program)

  • 1 milk (white or chocolate): $80/year
  • 2 milks (white, chocolate, or combo): $160/year

Three Days each Week (this option is only available for students in the PK 3-day program)

  • 1 milk (white or chocolate): $48/year
  • 2 milks (white, chocolate, or combo): $96/year
