Lunchtime is a great time for students to interact with each other as they enjoy either a lunch brought from home or a prepackaged hot lunch from KIDDOS. Milk (white or chocolate) is also available to order on a yearly basis. Students may choose from these lunch options:
Students (PreK-Grade 12) may order chocolate or white milk for the entire year. The cost will be billed to student’s tuition invoice. Milk delivery will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020. Please order by clicking the button below:
Bring Your Own Lunch
Many students bring their own lunch to school. Please remember that CHA is a “Nut-Aware” school and to follow the Nut-Aware Guidelines regarding nuts and products containing nuts (as found in the Parent-Student Handbook). Due to health safety regulations for 2020-21, microwaves will not be used, so please make sure home-packed lunches do not require reheating.
Also, please make sure students bring their own utensils, napkins, and drinks as we need to minimize the risk of spreading viruses through close contact.
My Child Forgot to Bring Lunch!
Occasionally a student forgets to bring their lunch to school. If this happens, a parent may bring it to the CHA Office by 10:30 AM to ensure that the student or their teacher is notified to pick it up in time for their lunch period. Please clearly mark the outside of the lunch with the student’s name and grade. If a child does not have a lunch, cold cereal and white milk will be offered (and a $3 fee will be added to the student’s account).
Hot Lunch from KIDDOS
Students may order hot lunches through KIDDOS, an independent hot lunch management company that contracts with CHA. They work with local restaurants to offer menu options for students, PK-Gr 12. Meals cost $5.95 each and will be prepackaged and labeled for each student who has placed an order. Please see this informational flyer from KIDDOS.
Kiddos Schedule for the Start of the School Year, 2020-21:
September 1 – Online Kiddos Hot Lunch ordering opens.
September 14 (one week after Labor Day) – Kiddos Hot Lunch program begins. Students will need to bring their own lunches until then.

What restaurants does KIDDOS use to provide varied meal choices? Kiddos updates it’s lunch provider restaurants list each year. For example, some of the restaurants that have partnered with KIDDOS include: Meatheads, Piero’s Pizza, Original Bagel & Bialy, Giordano’s, Yummy Bowl, Rosati’s, Potbelly, Subway, Suzy’s Swirl, and Dairy Queen. Daily menus will be made available on the Kiddos website.
KIDDOS Lunch Cancellations – KIDDOS Catering and CHA are not able to cancel lunches on your behalf for any reason. If your child will need to quarantine or will be absent for any reason and you would like to cancel lunches you have ordered, you must log into your Kiddos account to cancel lunches for any dates still available to cancel. If the ordering/cancellation window has closed for the dates you wish to cancel, regardless of reason, the lunches will be delivered to school and you can make arrangements with school to pick up the lunches during the lunch period. If the lunch is not picked up by the end of the lunch period each day, the lunch will be gifted to staff or discarded.
Hot Dog Days
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we will not be able to provide Hot Dog Days this year.
HOT DOG DAYS
A Hot Dog lunch is offered to students and staff on one Wednesday per month during the school year, September-May. The nine Hot Dog Days for this year are listed on the CHA calendar in your Veracross portal. The meal includes choice of one or two hot dogs, plus chips and dessert. To purchase an individual hog dog lunch students must bring money to purchase it on Hot Dog Day (one hot dog: $4.00 / two hot dogs: $5.00).
Purchase a “Hot Dog Year-Pass”
Students may also purchase a “Hot Dog Year Pass” which is good in advance for the entire school year and eliminates the need to remember to bring money to school on Hot Dog Days. Please order by clicking the order form button bottom of this page.
