The early years matter!

The Early Education program at Christian Heritage Academy provides the best possible start to lifelong social, spiritual, and academic success, beginning at age 3. We invite you to click the cards below for schedules and class options for the levels indicated.

Educating with Excellence

Highly qualified Christian teachers utilize high-interest, research- and play-based curricula intentionally chosen for the higher-order learning, critical thinking, and application skills your child will need for our Lower, Middle, and Upper School programs.

Curiosity, exploration, and experimentation ensure that children are intellectually engaged, absorbed, and challenged. Each day children have the opportunity for sensory, art, and musical exploration in addition to outdoor play. Large-and small-group activities include exposure to quality read-alouds, investigation, problem-solving and applying developing literacy and numeracy skills in purposeful ways.

Early Education curriculum and activities include journals/story dictation, story acting, hands-on math, informal phonics and group reading with Jolly Phonics, handwriting readiness, science experiments, student-led inquiry projects using Project Approach/Student Led Projects, and Kindermusik. Planting Seeds of Faith

Our Early Education program is structured not only for remarkable educational growth, but for all children to increasingly reflect a heart that seeks to follow Jesus. Each of our trained educators has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. These "Living Curriculum" teachers serve as role models while integrating the Bible and our Christian faith into daily lessons and activities, just as you do in your home!

Our youngest students are nurtured in self-confidence, independence, healthy interdependence, and self-image based on the knowledge of being “created in God’s image.” We celebrate the differences in each child and the unity we have in Christ as we help them to Explore God’s Diverse World and Walk in God’s Ways, two of CHA’s Expected Student Outcomes.

A Christ-Centered Partnership

In order for your child to be truly known within our community, we rely on good parent-school communication! Parents appreciate receiving a glimpse into the classroom and tracking their child’s progress classroom visits, meaningful parent-teacher conferences, classroom visits, weekly teacher newsletters, photo documentation of learning, online individualized student portfolios (preschool) and standards-based progress reports. It is a joy to pray together over your precious child through these fleeting, formational years!

I just love all the kids at school.

Lexi P., Preschool Student

Hunter was upset that he couldn't stay longer! It's what every parent hopes to hear when they drop off their child for their very first real school experience!

Lena P., CHA Parent

It is a privilege to spend many precious hours together with some of our youngest students at CHA as they grow and learn about God, themselves, and the world around them. Providing a firm educational foundation based on the Truth is vitally important to me both as a parent and a teacher!
