The Heartbeat of CHA

Chapel serves as the heart of our school, binding students together in a shared journey of faith. Here, in the context of community, students connect with God and are shaped by His teachings, laying the groundwork for enduring and resilient faith. Moreover, chapel provides a platform for students to discover and excel in their gifts, whether leading worship, managing technology, or leading a small group.

Format and Schedule

Weekly chapel services are divided by grades: K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Additionally, CHA holds several all-school chapels every year, which many parents attend either in person or virtually.

During chapel sessions, students are encouraged to:

  • Embrace God in worship through song and music
  • Pause from their busy routines to join in collective prayer
  • Reflect on what they are learning, wrestling with, or processing within a supportive community under the guidance of God’s word

Mentoring Makes a Difference

While the Christian faith is regularly taught in the classrooms and programs at Christian Heritage Academy, we also prioritize opportunities for students to reflect, discuss, and respond to how He is moving in their own lives.

Middle and Upper School students are given a special place in their schedules for mentorship and deeper connections. The mentoring program is designed to foster a sense of belonging, and for students to develop muscles of cultural discernment from a Christian lens. The faculty and staff who serve in mentoring roles are blessed by their time with these students as well!

How Mentoring Works

Our mentoring relationships cultivate a community rooted in a deep love for God and for each other! In these mentoring sessions, students:

  • Engage in regular check-ins and prayer with a mentor teacher and a prayerfully-assigned group of peers, sharing their life experiences both within CHA and in the wider world
  • Discuss significant issues, reflecting on them from a Biblical perspective
  • Establish, pursue, and reflect on personal goals with the support and accountability of their group

My mentor and teachers have helped me grow in my relationship with the Lord not only by their words of encouragement but by showing what it looks like to live with eyes set on Jesus.

I am grateful that my mentor of over four years counseled and prayed over me in all areas of my life; so much of who I am today is thanks to her.

One of my favorite things about creating art is the ability to visually express anything I can imagine. As a Christian, I especially like to use art to glorify God and His creation.

Kaitlyn, CHA Student

Participating in the worship team has been an unforgettable experience that has taught me to cultivate my gifts, to understand the purpose of true worship, and to realize how worthy our God is to receive every praise from His creation.
