All For One

There’s something powerful about carving out a day or two, or three, for students and mentors to get away to a new environment together as a group in Christian fellowship! From relaxing around a bonfire to getting fired up, from quiet reflection to bold praise, from being new to being known, there's room for everyone.

Upper School Retreat

To kick off each school year, students head to Lake Geneva Youth Camp in Wisconsin to engage in worship, team-building, games, small group discussions, and teaching from faculty who set the stage for the spiritual and relational growth ahead. With competitions, late-night conversations, and outdoor adventures, it’s a memorable and fun method for our Upper School student body to get the school year started off well!

HoneyRock Leadership Retreat

Freshman students attend a leadership empowerment trip to the HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Over the course of four days during GO! Week, students study biblical leadership, explore personal gifts, and practice using those gifts through real leadership tasks. Our desire is to help each student see their own leadership strengths, whether those are on display upfront or exhibited through servant leadership.

Middle School Retreat

Held at the beginning of the school year, this one-day, on-campus retreat is filled with worship, prayer, goals and vision for the school year, Bible study in small groups, a pizza lunch, and team-building games. This retreat helps with the establishment of a unique identity for the Middle School, and encourages collaboration between the three grade levels. Who knew you could have this much fun AT school?

As a senior, leading worship at the retreat was an incredible experience. It was amazing to see my classmates connect with God and each other in such meaningful ways. Also, there was a lot of work leading up to the retreat, so it was a great feeling seeing all of that pay off during it.

The games and activities were so much fun, but Capture The Flag was definitely the highlight! Everyone got to be involved, cheering each other on and giving it their all. We liked how it brought our class closer together.

Betty and Carson, CHA Juniors

One of my favorite moments from the Upper School retreat was the small group time we had in our cabins. I was the only senior leading a group of freshmen girls, and it was cool to see how excited and engaged they were!
