At CHA, we encourage our students to step out of their comfort zones, put their faith into action, and love courageously! To that end, we dedicate at least one full week for our Middle and Upper School students to take learning on the road, both domestically and internationally.
Students are challenged to listen, respond, serve, and even lead! Our heart for each student is that they would grow as a disciple of Jesus, grow in loving others courageously, and come to be known by their love as expressed in how they use their gifts.

GO! Week 2023
 November 13-17

CHICAGOLAND
Grades 6-8

During GO! Week, Middle School students have a hybrid learning experience on campus and throughout Chicagoland, with the goal of loving and serving communities of people facing challenges such as homelessness, refugee resettlement, or disabilities.

For GO! Week 2023, the focus will be on those experiencing disabilities. Our students will learn from and serve alongside local ministries who serve such communities.

HONEYROCK
Grade 9

Freshmen at CHA learn about their personal gifting and capacities for leadership through a leadership empowerment trip, beginning at HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development in Three Lakes, WI.

Students spend several days exploring their unique giftedness, participating in leadership training activities, and preparing to put into practice what they learn when they arrive back to campus and assist in the last day of GO! Week with our middle schoolers.

DOMESTIC
Grades 10-12

Domestic GO! Week opportunities include a road trip to learn and serve in a specific region of the United States or locally as an Upper School cohort serving with the current year’s Middle School GO! Week service partners in Chicagoland.

For 2023, the domestic trip will take students to Kansas City, Missouri, with City Service Mission. Students will learn about the unique needs in this area and how God is at work there as they seek to understand and serve.

INTERNATIONAL
Grades 10-12

In Mark 16:16, Jesus commands us to “Go into all the world,” and we want to provide that opportunity for our students! In the very me-centric world in which we live, it is eye-opening for young people to see both the needs in other parts of the world and how God is at work there. The impact is transformational…and the experience is many of our alumni’s most treasured memory of their high school experience at CHA.

The 2023 international trip will be to Constanza and Caraballo, Dominican Republic with Kids Alive. Students are guided in personal support-raising and group fundraising efforts to offset the cost of this trip.
